ПЕРЕВОД КАЛАМБУРОВ В МЕДИАЛЬНЫХ ТЕКСТАХ

(НА МАТЕРИАЛЕ АМЕРИКАНСКИХ СЕРИАЛОВ «ТЕОРИЯ БОЛЬШОГО ВЗРЫВА» И «ДРУЗЬЯ»)

Бакалаврская работа посвящена исследованию каламбура и особенностям его перевода в комедийных телесериалах «Теория большого взрыва» и «Друзья». Актуальность исследования обусловлена тем, что игра слов является выразительным средством языка, с помощью которого реализуется комический эффект. Для адекватного восприятия каламбура требуется качественный перевод, однако способы передачи словесной игры на русский язык изучены недостаточно хорошо. Цель исследования заключается в изучении специфики функционирования и особенностей передачи каламбура с английского языка на русский язык на основе перевода телесериалов «Теория большого взрыва» и «Друзья». В первой главе изучается понятие «каламбур», история данного феномена, анализируются и сопоставляются различные подходы к его изучению, принятые в русском и английском научном дискурсе. Вторая глава посвящена особенностям перевода каламбуров в телесериалах «Теория большого взрыва» и «Друзья» от разных переводческих студий. В ходе исследования выяснилось, что в телесериалах «Теория большого взрыва» и «Друзья» присутствует множество комичных ситуаций, реализуемых с помощью каламбура, главная задача которых заключается в привлечении интереса зрителей. Профессиональный перевод, лингвокультурная адаптация юмора очень важны; от этого зависит восприятие и интерпретация дискурсивного пространства телевизионного сериала.

TRANSLATION OF PUNS IN MEDIAL TEXTS (FROM THE AMERICAN TELEVISION SITCOMS “THE BIG BANG THEORY” AND “FRIENDS”)

The bachelor’s thesis is devoted to the study of puns and the specifics of their translation in the sitcoms “The Big Bang Theory” and “Friends”. The relevance of the study is determined by the fact that wordplay is an expressive means of language and the comic effect is often realized through puns. A quality translation is required for the appropriate perception of a pun, but the ways of transferring wordplay into Russian have not been well studied. The aim of the study is to investigate the specifics of the functioning and peculiarities of the transmission of a pun from English into Russian on the basis of the translation of the TV series “The Big Bang Theory” and “Friends”. The first chapter explores the concept of “pun”, presents the history of this phenomenon, analyses and compares different approaches to its study adopted in Russian and English academic discourse. The second chapter is devoted to the peculiarities of translation of puns in the TV series “The Big Bang Theory” and “Friends” performed by different translation studios. In the course of the research it was clarified that in the TV sitcoms “The Big Bang Theory” and “Friends” there are many comic situations implemented through puns. Their main purpose is to attract the interest of the viewers. Professional translation, linguistic and cultural adaptation of humor are very important; the perception and interpretation of the discursive space of the television series depends on this.
